2nd...I have to say I am not surprised. Everyone of those girls I have heard of before. How disappointing that you couldn't choose someone that deserves a chance to break in. Instead you had to take some everyone has heard of.

In response to Shelly....when you have been submitting as long as I have and you keep seeing the same names on teams over and over, it gets really frustrating. You start seeing the same work over and over and over.
I am excited for the girls chosen...excited that they get to work with fun kits.....but all I am saying is give someone else a chance that hasn't been on a zillion teams. Let others have that chance to shine instead of the same people all the time.

To be fair, I have never been on a DT other then my LSS. I have never been published either. I am sure it can be a downer if you have tried a lot to get your name out there and don't... but to say that you are seeing the same names isn't 100% true.

I just got my August kit in the mail today and buttons. FUN FUN FUN! Loving all the stuff in here!!!!!
There is a fly in every ointment. I don't envy poor Gina's task of choosing from 150 applicants. Hey I could sit here and cry foul, and discrimination since I'm the only Guy that applied, And I even know Gina personally. But as the great Susan Lucci says. "Its just an honor to be nominated." I think she did the smart thing to get some headliner on the first team. It's how you attract attention to your new business. It's like having a celebrity appearance at your grand opening. You Rock Gina, and you're SMART! BTW--thanks for the "Spy" pictures. I owe you one.

HOLY cow did you all take everything I said WAY out of proportion. While I may have exaggerated, and I am willing to cop to that...I also HAVE seen a lot of the same names on DT"s recently. Case in point: One team I applied for once had a gal that was applying for the same team. Now, this gal was CURRENTLY on 15 other teams at the time of this call. There was another gal that was 9 other teams. To me, that is RIDICULOUS. All I am saying is that I was disappointed that she chose so many "well-known" scrappers over others. If she had 150 submissions...there was enough talent in that pool for her to give an unknown a chance. I am just tired of seeing this scenario over and over.
Congrats to the new team - and whether you win or lose ...its how you play the game thats important. I know Holly and she would do nothing but cheer you on with love and admiration. So lets give this team another Hoorah and hope that if you didn't get picked this time you'll remember to try try again!

I like the name "tater heads." Ha!
and... it is 2:00am, I just played with my kit for 2 hours. Loving all the fun stuff in there. I even went a little nuts-o over a piece of purple polkie-dottie paper and I am not usually a huge fan of purple. The buttons make me HAPPY Happy. $2.50 for a whole bag of love. I saved my strawberry. I just love that little guy.
